MILTON CHILDRENS PORTRAITS | STYLED SESSIONS

Childrens Portraits with coordinated outfits in MiltonChildrens PortraitsSiblings

One of my favorite things to do is create styled images for my childrens portraits, whether it be with just one child or several. My idea starts with either a location near my home in Milton or a piece of an outfit that I find from one of our local boutiques.  I had this vision of doing Christmas photos of my kids but needed some holiday themed outfits so I started on the hunt!

Best child photographywhere friendship begins

It all started with the red coat.  I was in LOVE!!! Then I knew I needed something plaid underneath.  I also found the cutest little red cloche hat to match the coat but as soon as I got it home to try it on....well, she wasn't having it so I had to come up with plan B - a cute sparkling red bow!!!  I dug through her closet to find the perfect gold Mary Janes to cap it off.

Happy BoyNews boy hat I needed something for my son.  I needed something to compliment the red coat but wouldn't be too matchy.  I found the perfect blue fair isle sweater.  And of course I needed something to match Aria's red bow (or red cloche hat if she would have it).  I needed a news boy hat!  I found a camel colored hat to match his pants perfectly!

I thought what about a shopping mall?  But where?  I knew the new Avalon location would be perfect, but could I shoot there?  I wasn't sure so I called them up and sure enough...success!  I had designed the perfect session!! But would both of the kids cooperate?  That was something I would never know until we started shooting.

Helloblue eyed baby in fur coat After we arrived, Aria was fast asleep so I took Carter aside and did some photos of him by himself.  Once Aria woke up, she was not having it!  I thought...."Oh no!!! I'm never going to get these shots!"  So we took it slow and walked around a bit and tried various things and much to my surprise....she cooperated just enough to get some great memories!!!  You have to work with kids at their own pace and don't force them or it isn't going to work.

There is a lot of time that goes into coordinating outfits, so why should you have to do all the work to only be unsure of what it is your looking for?  Leave the styling up to me and I will shop for you!

Both of these outfits are available to all clients along with several other boutique clothing items and accessories.  We have a full wardrobe of outfits for children ranging from 6 months to 10 years old.  Come visit our studio to see them for yourself.  Let's make the magic happen with your little ones!
