Join us on this journey to discover how art in the home can elevate your daily life and create an inviting atmosphere that resonates with all who enter.

Transforming Spaces with Art

Art has the power to breathe life into any room, turning blank walls into captivating focal points. Let's explore how hanging art can enhance your home's aesthetics and add a personal touch to your living spaces.

Enhancing Home Aesthetics

Custom art pieces can dramatically improve the visual appeal of your home. They add color, texture, and depth to your walls, creating a more dynamic and inviting atmosphere.

Well-chosen artwork can tie together different elements of your decor, creating a cohesive look throughout your home. It can complement your furniture, rugs, and other decorative items, enhancing the overall aesthetic of each room.

Art also serves as a conversation starter, giving your space character and personality. Whether it's a striking painting, a unique sculpture, or a series of photographs, art can make your home more memorable and enjoyable for both residents and guests alike.

Personal Touch with Custom Art

Custom art allows you to infuse your living spaces with your unique personality and style. It's an opportunity to showcase your tastes, experiences, and values through visual expression.

Personalized artwork can tell your story. Whether it's a commissioned piece inspired by a special memory, a family photograph turned into a canvas print, or a handcrafted item from your travels, custom art adds layers of meaning to your home decor.

Moreover, custom art with Creative Xpressions Photography can be tailored to fit specific spaces or color schemes in your home. This ensures that each piece not only looks great but also feels like it truly belongs in your space, creating a harmonious and personalized environment.

Benefits of Custom Art in Homes

Incorporating custom art into your home design offers numerous advantages beyond mere decoration. It can elevate your interior design and create a unique, personalized atmosphere that reflects your individuality.

Elevating Interior Design

Custom art plays a crucial role in elevating your home's interior design. It can serve as a focal point, drawing the eye and anchoring the room's overall aesthetic.

High-quality, custom pieces can add a touch of luxury and sophistication to any space. They can transform a simple room into a curated, gallery-like environment that showcases your taste and style.

Furthermore, custom art can be used to balance proportions in a room. Large-scale pieces can make a small room feel more spacious, while a series of smaller artworks can add interest to a large, blank wall.

Creating a Personalized Atmosphere

Custom art helps create a unique atmosphere that's tailored to your preferences and lifestyle. It can set the mood for different areas of your home, from calming landscapes in the bedroom to energetic abstracts in the living room.

Personalized artwork can also evoke specific emotions or memories. A custom piece that reminds you of a favorite place or experience can bring joy and nostalgia to your daily life.

Moreover, custom art allows you to express your values and interests. Whether it's supporting local artists, showcasing your cultural heritage, or highlighting causes you care about, your art choices can make a statement about who you are.

Tips for Hanging Art Effectively

Hanging art is both an art and a science. With the right approach, you can maximize the impact of your custom pieces and enhance your home decor. Let's explore some tips for choosing the right pieces and finding the perfect placement.

Choosing the Right Pieces

Selecting the right artwork for your home involves considering various factors to ensure it complements your space and reflects your style.

First, consider the size of your wall and the scale of your furniture. A large wall above a sofa might call for a single statement piece or a gallery wall, while a narrow hallway might be better suited for a series of smaller works.

Think about the color palette of your room. Your artwork can either complement existing colors or introduce new, contrasting hues to add visual interest.

Consider the style of your home and your personal taste. Whether you prefer contemporary abstracts, classic landscapes, or eclectic mixed media, choose pieces that resonate with you and fit your overall aesthetic.

Perfect Placement for Home Decor

Proper placement of your artwork can significantly enhance its impact and your overall home decor.

As a general rule, hang art at eye level, with the center of the piece about 57-60 inches from the floor. This creates a visually pleasing arrangement and ensures comfortable viewing.

When hanging art above furniture, leave some breathing room. Aim for 6-8 inches of space between the bottom of the frame and the top of your furniture to create a cohesive look.

Consider creating gallery walls for smaller pieces or collections. This can be a great way to fill large wall spaces and showcase multiple artworks. Experiment with different layouts before committing to nail holes.

Remember, lighting is crucial. Ensure your artwork is well-lit, either with natural light or strategically placed accent lighting, to truly bring out its beauty and enhance your home aesthetics.

MILTON CHILDRENS PORTRAITS | STYLED SESSIONS

Childrens Portraits with coordinated outfits in MiltonChildrens PortraitsSiblings

One of my favorite things to do is create styled images for my childrens portraits, whether it be with just one child or several. My idea starts with either a location near my home in Milton or a piece of an outfit that I find from one of our local boutiques.  I had this vision of doing Christmas photos of my kids but needed some holiday themed outfits so I started on the hunt!

Best child photographywhere friendship begins

It all started with the red coat.  I was in LOVE!!! Then I knew I needed something plaid underneath.  I also found the cutest little red cloche hat to match the coat but as soon as I got it home to try it on....well, she wasn't having it so I had to come up with plan B - a cute sparkling red bow!!!  I dug through her closet to find the perfect gold Mary Janes to cap it off.

Happy BoyNews boy hat I needed something for my son.  I needed something to compliment the red coat but wouldn't be too matchy.  I found the perfect blue fair isle sweater.  And of course I needed something to match Aria's red bow (or red cloche hat if she would have it).  I needed a news boy hat!  I found a camel colored hat to match his pants perfectly!

I'll always support youLet me help you walk It was time to think of a location.  I envisioned this session to be more clean and urban. I thought what about a shopping mall?  But where?  I knew the new Avalon location would be perfect, but could I shoot there?  I wasn't sure so I called them up and sure enough...success!  I had designed the perfect session!! But would both of the kids cooperate?  That was something I would never know until we started shooting.

Helloblue eyed baby in fur coat After we arrived, Aria was fast asleep so I took Carter aside and did some photos of him by himself.  Once Aria woke up, she was not having it!  I thought...."Oh no!!! I'm never going to get these shots!"  So we took it slow and walked around a bit and tried various things and much to my surprise....she cooperated just enough to get some great memories!!!  You have to work with kids at their own pace and don't force them or it isn't going to work.

There is a lot of time that goes into coordinating outfits, so why should you have to do all the work to only be unsure of what it is your looking for?  Leave the styling up to me and I will shop for you!

Both of these outfits are available to all clients along with several other boutique clothing items and accessories.  We have a full wardrobe of outfits for children ranging from 6 months to 10 years old.  Come visit our studio to see them for yourself.  Let's make the magic happen with your little ones!
